WELCOME!

Let me introduce myself….I am a Broker and Realtor® at RE/MAX equity group, inc. in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been selling real estate since 1975 in Portland and its surrounding neighborhoods. So why a blog? I’ve always embraced the latest tools available and recently made a commitment to learn more about Web 2.0 and Internet marketing.

Statistics tell the story as to how important the Internet really is. Did you know there are:

  • 50 million bloggers online, each myspace.com® page is visited at least 30 times a day
  • there are more than 2.7 billion searches on Google™ each month,
  • 95% of Baby Boomers use email
  • the number of text messages sent and received every day exceeds the population of the entire planet
  • approximately 47 million laptops were shipped worldwide in 2007
  • one out of eight couples who married in the U.S. last year met online
  • 77% of house hunters searched the Internet for their new home

So, here I am. Being a “newbie”, I sought the advice of these Realtors® and bloggers Ron Ares at repdx, and Dianne Gregoire and Linda Trotta at propertyblotter. One Real Estate blogger in particular, Teresa Boardman at stpaulrealestateblog, told me to “just dive in there”. Well, that’s just what I am doing. Admittedly, I have plenty to learn.

Still I am learning.” - Michelangelo

ALL ABOUT…..Portland.Oregon.Real Estate

You’re probably thinking that since this blog is all about real estate and Oregon thus the name. DO NOT COPY! Well, that isn’t the reason at all. There was a series of children books in the 1950s entitled “All About….” Each book was written about a specific and different subject; i.e. “All About…..Park Rangers”, “All About…..the Sea”, etc. Therefore, since real estate is such a vast subject I thought that would be a great name.

I hope to keep you informed daily on the latest real estate in Portland, its surrounding areas and neighborhoods, on Oregon and national real estate trends as well. With my experience and education, I have lots to share and, hopefully, you will personally benefit from all that I have learned. In addition, Oregon is a wonderful place to live and I’d like to introduce it to you through my eyes and words.

Any comments or suggestions for improvements or topics, will always be appreciated and taken under consideration. Check back again tomorrow and the days after that!
