In a recent issue of AARP’s magazine, it rated Corvallis as being #3 with having the greenest commuters (% of those who bike or walk to work).  The national average is 3.2% with Corvallis having 12.03% of its population using bikes or walking.

Corvallis again ranked #3 when it came to life expectancy.  The average is 71.1 years of age while Corvallis’ life expectancy is 80.93. (Maybe its all that walking and biking).

Bend ranked as having the skinniest citizens and came in at #5.  The average throughout the U.S. is 27.4 BMI while Bend’s citizens have 25.87 BMI.
