$27.1 billion dollars were cut from house prices in the month of July according to a recent report by Trulia. You can view that 
report here. Portland ranked at #11 as having 31% of all listings cut their asking prices during this month alone by at least 9%. Many economists, local and national, feel Portland’s prices are still too high and need to drop further.
West Portland had a high number of listings with price reductions/changes this week. Lake Oswego had a shorter list, Tigard had a slightly longer list, and West Linn had about the same number of listings with changes/reductions. With our inventory of homes at 8.2 months in June, and these price reductions, we will see if the inventory keeps getting reduced for the month of July as well.
